Humidity held at 60 to 80% via misting (manual or automated) and the right substrate, checked with a hygrometer, not by feel.
Substrate and layout
Most of the volume is a filtered, heated water section plus a dry basking platform under the lamp: oversize the filtration — an aquatic turtle pollutes like ten fish. Place the enclosure out of direct sun, which would turn the volume into an oven despite the thermostat.
