Description
A well-planned cage offers perches at several heights and diameters without cluttering the flight space. In practice you often end up with the two parallel sticks it came with, and a bird taking the same three steps all day. Our guide covers how many to fit and where to put them.
This braided multicolour cotton rope perch is 40 cm long. Its rigid core bends by hand: into an arch linking two sides, an L in a corner, or straight like a bridge. Each end has a screw fitting that tightens on the bars. Cotton gives a soft grip unlike wood, and birds happily move along it like a vine.
220 g. It suits budgies, lovebirds, cockatiels and conures. Cotton gets dirty and wears: wash it in hot water, let it dry completely, and trim or remove loose threads so no claw gets caught. Combine it with natural branches to vary the footholds.

Frequently asked questions
Does it hold its shape once bent?
Yes, the rigid core keeps the shape you give it; reshape it by hand if your bird pushes it out.
What’s the difference from the pastel flexible perch?
This one is longer (40 cm) and multicolour, for bridging; the pastel one is 35 cm and better suited to arches and spirals.
