Description
Every spring, pet parrots fly off a balcony or garden at the first noise that scares them, and many are never found. Yet fresh air, natural light and outdoor stimulation do them good. A harness lets you offer those outings without that risk, as our guide explains.
This one forms a figure 8: one loop goes around the head, the other around the body under the wings, without restricting them. The material is soft, close to satin, and the small chain at the front stands up to beaks better than fabric. It is attached to an elastic lead of 1.2 to 1.3 m that cushions a sudden take-off, with a clip at the handle to fix it to a secure point.
Sizes by bird weight (maker): XS 75-100 g (cockatiel), S 110-190 g (conure, Senegal), M 190-420 g (ring-neck, caique, small Amazon), L 425-600 g (African grey, Amazon), XL 600 g-1 kg (cockatoo, macaw). Weigh your bird before choosing. Above all, plan several weeks of indoor training in small rewarded steps: a bird forced into a harness will refuse it for a long time. Never leave it tethered alone.
Delivered in 8 to 15 working days, free from €49; 14 days to exchange the size.

Frequently asked questions
Which size for a cockatiel?
XS for most cockatiels (80 to 100 g). Weigh your bird: above 105 g, take S.
Will my parrot accept it?
Not straight away. Allow several weeks: harness placed nearby with a treat, then touching, then a rewarded pass over the head. Our guide sets out the steps.
Can it fly in it?
It can flap and flutter at the end of the lead. The elastic lead cushions take-offs, but never leave it tethered unsupervised.
