Description
In spring and autumn cats shed their undercoat: it ends up on the sofa and your clothes, and the cat swallows some of it while grooming. Regular brushing collects this dead hair before it falls.
This brush has stainless-steel pins set in a soft cushion that follows the curve of the body. Brushed with the lie of the coat, it reaches the undercoat and lifts out a layer of down. The long plastic handle gives a good grip, even on a cat that won’t keep still.
It suits short and medium coats. On a long coat with mats already formed (Persian, Maine Coon), work the knots out with a comb first, one by one: pulling a mat with a brush hurts. Go gently on thin-skinned areas (belly, armpits) and stop as soon as the cat tenses. Size: 18 × 9.5 cm.

Frequently asked questions
How often should I brush?
Once or twice a week for a short coat, more often during the moult or for a medium coat. Short sessions that stop before the cat gets annoyed work better than one long one.
Is it suitable for a long-haired cat?
For routine care, yes. But it won’t undo a mat that has already formed: tease it out with a comb first, and leave thick matting to a groomer or a vet.
How do I clean it?
Pull the hair off the pins by hand or with a comb after each session, then rinse the brush in lukewarm water now and then and let it dry pins down.
