Description
Ring-necked parakeets, conures and cockatiels are intelligent birds. Left with nothing to work out, they let you know: repeated screaming, destruction, repetitive behaviour. As our ring-necked parakeet guide points out, that intelligence is best channelled with toys that take effort, not just toys to look at.
This wooden board has rows of holes packed with about 30 wooden plugs and 4 tubes. Your bird has to figure out how to grip them, force them out, then shred them. Slip a seed or treat into a hole before plugging it again to make it harder. A snap hook clips it to the bars.
15 × 8 cm, about 87 g; the hook colour varies by batch. Once the plugs are out, cut new ones from untreated wood or push in paper sticks. A large parrot with a powerful beak will empty it in minutes: it is a toy for small to medium birds.
Delivered in 8 to 15 working days, free delivery from €49, 14 days to return it.

Frequently asked questions
What do I do when all the plugs are out?
Put them back if intact, or replace them with pieces of untreated wood or paper rolls: the board can be used again.
Is it suitable for a budgie?
Yes if it is curious; some budgies prefer lighter toys. Hide a seed in a hole to get it started.
