Description
Ferrets and chinchillas climb, jump and use height far more than floor space. A low cage, even a wide one, leaves them with little to do; several levels linked by ramps give them room to move between play times outside.
This steel-wire cage measures 52 × 52 × 114 cm (20.5 × 20.5 × 44.75 in) and has four levels: platforms of 50 × 25 cm (19.75 × 9.75 in), ramps of 32 × 13 cm (12.5 × 5 in) and a hanging hammock at the top. Two doors of 23 × 22 cm (9 × 8.75 in) give access, a 5.7 cm (2.25 in) deep tray pulls out for cleaning, and four wheels, two with brakes, let you roll it to another room.
The bar spacing is 1.3 cm (0.5 in): the maker states it is not suitable for hamsters. Ferrets still need several hours a day outside the cage, and chinchillas a ledge made of untreated wood or a dust-bath area that you add yourself. Assembly required; weight 13.2 kg (29 lb).

Frequently asked questions
Is it big enough for two ferrets?
Its four levels give a lot of climbing space for a pair, but ferrets still need several hours a day of play outside the cage, whatever its size.
Can I keep a hamster or a rat in it?
The maker states it is not suitable for hamsters: the 1.3 cm (0.5 in) bar spacing is too wide for them.
Is it hard to assemble?
Assembly is required, with the manual in the box. Allow some time and a second pair of hands: the cage weighs 13.2 kg (29 lb).
