🏠Bedding & habitat for the Axolotl

Axolotl : A tank of at least 80 to 100 L per adult, long rather than tall, with fine sand or a bare bottom and the filter output diffused by a spray bar. No cohabitation with fish, which nip its gills or end up swallowed.

This is the structural purchase — and where mistakes cost the most: too small, badly placed, badly sized. Our guides give serious minimum dimensions for a fish, the materials that last, and the traps of entry-level products.

The bigger the tank, the more stable — and therefore easier — it is: 60 litres is a good start, and the goldfish bowl belongs to another century.
