Description
In hot weather many dogs look for a tiled floor to cool down. This mat gives a cool-to-the-touch surface in the bed, the crate, on the sofa or in the car. It needs no gel, no water and no power: the so-called “ice silk” fabric draws body heat away. The maker itself describes it as “cool rather than cold”.
It folds, fits in a bag and is washable. Three sizes, with the dog weight given by the maker: M 62 × 50 cm (up to 7.5 kg), L 70 × 55 cm (up to 15 kg), XL 100 × 70 cm (up to 40 kg).
It will not bring down the temperature of a dog with heatstroke: in that case, shade, water and an emergency vet visit. It is a summer bedding comfort, to go with unlimited fresh water and walks at the coolest times of day.

Should I put it in the fridge?
No. It contains no gel or water: the fabric itself feels cool. Chilling it is not intended by the maker.
Which size should I choose?
Your dog should be able to lie fully on it. Measure it lying down from nose to base of tail and compare; the weights listed are the maker’s.
Does it help with heatstroke?
No, it is a comfort item. A dog panting hard, staggering or vomiting in the heat must be cooled with water and taken to a vet.
